PRIVACY POLICY
Who’s in charge of your information?
As a sole trader, I – Eleni Kyriacou - am in charge of your information.
What information I collect
When you sign up for my Writers’ & Readers’ Club – also known as the newsletter - I take your name and email address. My website runs Squarespace Analytics, which helps me get a picture of how my website is doing. It collects useful info such as how long visitors are staying on a particular page and what pages get the most clicks. And I use cookies on my website, too, which does a similar job in tracking usage and your preferences.
What I use your information for
To keep in touch with my readers and anyone who has signed up and expressed an interest in my work. I’ll never contact you unless it is via the newsletter, or unless you have emailed me via the contact form or left a message on my blog.
If you’d like to have your data removed, please get in touch and I’ll delete your info immediately. Of course you can unsubscribe from the newsletter easily, and how to do this is at the bottom of each newsletter you receive (or you can email me using the contact form).
How I keep your information private
Information is stored on Word documents on secure devices (laptop and mobile phone) that are password and pin number protected. I’m the only person who has access to these devices. And, of course, I won’t share or sell your data to a third party.
How long your information is kept
I’ll keep it as long as you’re signed up to my newsletter. If you unsubscribe, I’ll delete it.
Your rights
As part of GDPR, you can request a copy of the data I hold about you, have inaccurate data corrected or have your data deleted. Just contact me. If you think I may not be handling your privacy properly, you can get in touch to complain.
